Divine Silence: Finding Faith When Prayers Feel Unanswered
Hello and welcome to Walk the Walk. Today's episode is titled what About Me? God Now, today's episode is not polished, it's not tied up with a bow, it's just real, a conversation many of us have had but rarely say out loud. God, can we talk? Because I have been waiting and waiting and I'm just going to say it. Why are you silent? Why do you answer everyone else's prayers but mine? I'm here, child, Speak your heart. Oh, I've tried, I've prayed, I've cried in the shower, I've cried in my pillow, I've even cried in my dog's fur, I've whispered your name when I could barely breathe, but still nothing. That breakthrough, oh, it went to someone else that healing, not mine, and that opportunity was a closed door. Oh, I smile for them and I clap for them, but deep down I'm asking what about me, god? Have you forgotten me? No, I've numbered every tear, I've caught each one. I see your late night questions and your early morning aches. But, god, why not me? Because I'm doing something in you before I do something for you? Oh, that hurts, I know Waiting always does.
Speaker 1:But the waiting room isn't a punishment, it's a preparation. But I'm tired of preparing, I just want relief. What if I told you the delay is protection. What if I'm withholding something good because I'm crafting something better, but I don't feel better? I feel forgotten. You feel forgotten, but you are favored. You feel behind, but I'm ahead of you, making the way.
Speaker 1:You see silence, I see setup. Then, god, help me wait, because I don't want to pretend I'm okay when I'm not. You don't have to. Just don't stop talking to me, even when you're hurting, even when you're doubting, even when the miracle hasn't come, especially then, okay, I'm going to keep showing up God, but even when my prayers fill empty, even when it looks like you're working everywhere. But here I'll wait, but not in silence. I'll wait with you. Friend, if you're in the waiting room too, you're not alone and you're not forgotten. Keep talking to him. Even in the waiting room, too, you're not alone and you're not forgotten. Keep talking to him Even in the silence, especially in the silence. Keep talking to him Until next time. Keep walking the walk.
